Copic is excited to be coming to Des Moines for a half-day symposium that will dive into a variety of risk management topics. Our physician risk managers, patient safety risk managers, and other Copic team members will lead interactive discussions on common and emerging high-risk scenarios.
Whether you’re a practitioner or a practice manager, our goal is to keep you informed of key risk areas and reduce the chance of being name in a lawsuit. We offer insight to enhance and support patient safety and create a space to discuss and navigate the challenges faced in everyday practice.

This educational session provides healthcare professionals with a deeper understanding of medication error prevention through the lens of patient safety and risk management. Participants will explore the underlying causes of medication-related events and learn proactive strategies to mitigate risk and reduce preventable harm. Through real-world case studies and application of HPI's Safety Event Classification (SEC) methodology, attendees will develop skills to consistently classify events, identify meaningful trends, and utilize safety data to prioritize improvement efforts. The session is designed to equip organizations with practical approaches for transforming event reporting into actionable insights that support sustainable quality and patient safety outcomes.
